It can be a hard and cruel world. Dating can be tough at times. You make all the right moves, but somehow it doesn’t work out. What can you possibly be doing wrong? That’s the problem. You most likely are doing something wrong, but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn how to do it right. Guys have been making mistakes over and over again for generations. The best way to stop making mistakes with women is to learn what you are doing wrong. While it’s impossible to list everything you could be doing wrong, it is possible to list the most common ones. Your mistakes, assuming you are making them, are likely to be in there somewhere. Here then are some of the common mistakes that guys make with women.

1. Don’t wait for her to show approval and confirm that you are acceptable. Too many guys do this thinking that the girl expects it. She does not. Women want their guys to be in control. They want a guy who feels he is just fine the way he is. That doesn’t mean someone who is conceited and in love with himself, just a guy who knows what he’s worth. Show the woman you are confident in quiet kind of way and she will take notice.

2. Don’t ply her with presents. Yes, she will like receiving them, but the magic will wear thin a lot sooner than you expect. The occasional gift timed right is worth much more than a gift every time you meet. If you shower presents on her she will most likely expect to get them all the time. That can become expensive very quickly. You will be seen as just someone who provide goodies in the form of presents. That should not be your aim in any relationship.

3. Don’t come over as having no direction in life. Women like their men to have a clear direction, They want them to know where they are going and how they are going to get there. Is that you? If not, it needs to be. When a guy has definite goals and shows a likelihood of getting there, women see someone who is capable of providing for a family. While marriage may not happen as a result of the occasional date, that’s still what girls like to see.

4. Don’t seek her approval. Be yourself and expect approval based on how you behave. Of course, that assumes you are behaving like a gentleman. Just don’t come over like a lap dog seeking her attention and approval all the time. It has the ring of a wimp, and women don’t tend to like wimps.

5. Don’t take her for granted. Treat every woman with the respect and dignity that she deserves. Listen to what she has to say. Pay close attention to what she does and what she says and she will like you all the more for it. Treat her as a whole person and not just a nice body. Believe it, women can tell the difference.
