DATELINE PLATINUM TERMS, CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY

By applying to become and being a member of Dateline Platinum, I agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions and I understand that Dateline Platinum's acceptance of my application shall create a legally binding contract between me and Dateline Platinum.

1.     Although Dateline Platinum uses all reasonable endeavours to ensure that introductions to members fall within the category of persons specified by them on their application form it will not accept responsibility if, through no fault of its own, any such person introduced to you does not fall within such category nor will it accept any responsibility for any occurrence as a consequence of any meeting with or relationship formed with any such person as a result of such introduction.

2.     All information supplied to Dateline Platinum by you will be treated in the strictest of confidence and is subject to the Data Protection Act as described in the Data Protection Notice, below. By becoming a Dateline Platinum member and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you consent to the provisions of the Data Protection Notice.

3.     All members warrant the accuracy of all information supplied by them to Dateline Platinum accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any inaccuracies howsoever arising. You hereby warrant that you do not know of any medical, criminal or physical reason why you should not form a conventional relationship with the opposite sex unless such impediment has been declared to Dateline One to One in advance. The right to accept or refuse membership to anyone is at the sole discretion of Dateline Platinum.

4.      You confirm that you are over eighteen years old and that the contents of your Personal Profile are true and accurate in all respects and that you have never been convicted of a serious criminal offence. You understand that if any serious or deliberately misleading inaccuracies should come to light, Dateline Platinum reserves the right to expel you or to take civil or criminal action against you.

5.     You hereby agree that you will not use the Dateline Platinum service to make or attempt to make any statement which is obscene, racist, inappropriate, offensive or otherwise illegal through your personal statement or within the messaging service. You may not attempt to make any reference or allusion to any sexually explicit acts, parts of the body with sexual overtones or to look for possible partners under the age of 18. Members may not use profanity within the Dateline Platinum service or use the Dateline Platinum service to libel, slander or defame another person. Dateline Platinum reserves the right to expel any member found committing such an act.

6.     You hereby declare that you are either single, widowed, divorced or legally separated. You do not live in the same abode as your former spouse or partner. You do not live with anyone in a manner that can be construed to be co-habiting, either at your home address or any other address. You have not been convicted of a serious criminal offence, nor have you spent any time in prison.

7.     You acknowledge that your profile, photograph and contact details may be accessed by members worldwide via a number of media including, but not limited to, hardcopy profiles that are sent out, audio recordings, mobile devices, interactive Digital TV and the Dateline Platinum website and the websites of Dateline Platinum's associated companies.

8.     Dateline Platinum reserves the right to withdraw membership from any person at its sole discretion and in that event the unexpired portion of the membership fee paid will be refunded in full. Save as aforesaid no refunds will be made unless otherwise provided for by Dateline Platinum in its brochures or other promotional literature.

9.     No payment or refund will be given to you for any downtime in the Dateline One to One service or for your inability to access the service due to technical problems beyond Dateline Platinum's control.

10.  Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulation Act (2000), you are entitled to a seven-day cooling off period. During this time you have the right to cancel your contract without penalty. However, the cooling off period and the right to cancel does not apply if you begin to use the Dateline Platinum service before the end of the cooling off period. Therefore, if you use our services immediately by you either agreeing to make an appointment with an interviewer, or accessing the members database you will not be able to cancel the contract.

      Members joining with an annual fee and monthly membership fee

      If you wish to cancel your membership , Dateline Platinum reserves the right to apply reasonable costs for all services provided and therefore will retain a minimum of 50% of the standard annual membership list price. Any cancellations or refunds are also subject to a minimum administration charge of £50.00.

              Members joining on a monthly membership fee

      You may cancel your membership at any point by emailing Dateline Platinum at info@datelineplatinum.com or by registered delivery to 1st Floor, 1 Cooks Barn, Turkey Mill, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 5PP. On receipt of your email/letter your membership subscription will terminate at the end of the month for which you have paid, you will not receive any refund for any unsed days of such subscription term.  Your inital 3 months in advance payment is non refundable.

11. As a full member of Dateline Platinum you will be required to pay a monthly membership fee as explained at the point of joining.  The monthly membership fee consists of 12 monthly payments which will commence a month and one day after the activation of your membership.  Please note the classification for membership activation is when an interview has been completed and all required paperwork and proof of identity returned to Head Office. You will receive a welcome call to notify you that your membership has been activated.

12.  The contract between Dateline Platinum and any person who joins offline, via post or via the telephone or online is made when they provide their payment details to Dateline Platinum.

13.  Dateline Platinum may from time to time update these Terms and Conditions and any revisions will appear the Dateline Platinum Website.

Any personal information you register with Dateline Platinum will be used for the purpose of matching you with other members and for sending you details (by post, e-mail, telephone, fax, SMS, interactive Digital TV or any other appropriate technology) of those matching members. Dateline Platinum will also send such of your details to any member who requests your details. Your profile (including your photograph if supplied) and your user or first name, your age and the town or county in which you live will be visible to world-wide users of the website and to users of interactive Digital TV, or through any media which Dateline Platinum deems appropriate. Please note that we shall not disclose your contact details to any non-member unless you explicitly allow it. By completing the registration form, you consent to our processing personal data including, but not limited to, your location, marital status, ethnicity, smoking and drinking habit, religious and political affiliation, personality, hobbies, interests and attitudes. You also consent to your photograph being placed on the Dateline Platinum site. You also consent to our transferring your data to group companies, members, other third parties or to countries which do not provide for the same level of data protection as the UK if necessary for the above purposes.

On registering with Dateline Platinum, we will supply you with a password. All Dateline Platinum members must take careful note of their password and are responsible for keeping this password safe and solely for their own use. This password allows you to access and change the information Dateline Platinum holds about you and to request that those details are not distributed. Please make sure that your details are correct and up-to-date to help Dateline Platinum provide you with the best service. Dateline Platinum takes all reasonable measures to protect your personal information and to prevent unauthorised access to it, including making all Dateline Platinum staff aware of their obligations as data processors. Any contracts between ourselves and group companies or third parties relating to the processing of your data include clauses requiring that they guarantee your data the same level of technical and organisational security that they offer their own data.

Should your membership expire, Dateline Platinum shall maintain your data for a reasonable period for administrative purposes and the purposes indicated in this Data Protection Notice, after which time it will be deleted.
